Winking? WTH?

I do it like a few times a year & always very tounge-in-cheek.

Admittedly, since my kids are long since grown I don't do it very much any more.

Winking is very common in France, so yes I do wink, with my kids very often, when we're joking

I never wink. Ever. Why would I? If I'm joking, I prefer to communicate that in subtler ways. If I'm interested in a woman, I don't even try to communicate that at all. Winking would probably come across as awkward at best and creepy at worst.
