Just won a Diplomatic victory on turn 500. Would have lost if not for that, my score wasn't very good. Still have yet to run out of time or get a time victory in all my hours playing.

    Feels good...

I didn't realize it was possible to go to turn 500 on Standard without turning off the time limit. I thought you got a time victory on like turn 425??

 anyone can do that (kill off all AI but one capitol left, citadel spam or nuke and reduce its size to 1) have zero tourism, and don't ally any CS. Then keep pressing "next turn"...

    Holy elitism responses. :nono:

This game was literally permanent warring with each other, and every Civ was horribly backwards. Was such a weird and funny game.

I think I would be elated if the game was mostly a struggle but I managed to win on the last turn!

    Nice.

I'd love to see what your empire looked like so late in the years :D

Hmm interesting. Because normally when end turn 499 the game would end (you don't get to play that turn 500).

I've never done a time victory. Does it end when you finish turn 499 because you start the game on turn 0?

I didn't take a screenshot of the victory screen unfortunately. Looked into my hall of fame and it says diplomatic victory on turn 499. I guess it counts the turn that the voting happened if you get enough for the victory. Of course after voting, you have to end the turn, and so the victory screen came up at turn 500.

Edit: Just noticed the Bismark turn 494 science victory above it,

    Those crazy backward games...
