The 2 main modifiers: faith points in your civ, religious buildings and religious wonders of the target religion in the city.
(and now I have also added population as a modifier, but that doesn't affect your game yet)

here is some suggestions, maybe they can help you.

    1.
can turn 2 citizen into priest
Minimal wait between civic and religion changes

    2.
    +1 free priest
free churches for cities in this continent

    3.
build state religion building 25% faster
+1 espionage for every state religion buildings

    4.
can turn 1 citizen into priest
    +50% piety gain
if your piety >= 75, 15% culture in all cities

Thanks, went with extra stability from faith in the end.
Also +1 happiness for each city in Divine Monarchy.

One of the main features of 1.6 are the wonders.
22 new wonders were added, most with unique abilities.
10+ old ones also got a new, RFCE-specific bonus, while almost all of them were at least rebalanced.

The 22 new ones sounds like a lot, but in RFC-type mods it's not too bad to have lots of wonders.
On a given playthrough you will not interact with most of them. Different timeline, different religion, and different goals with the civs mean much less overlap.

Selecting and designing the wonders was quite fun, but very time-consuming. Fairly hard with some of the bonuses.
Region, religion, and the goal to have a couple specific gameplay bonuses all took a big role in the selection. Even the new Ottoman UHV counted to some extent.

    Some examples:
Scientific wonders, Orthodox and Islamic wonders had a high preference, but also wanted to have at least a couple Pagan and Protestant wonders (even if those are fairly specific).
Another goal was to add some coastal wonders.
Also wanted to add proper representation for all regions and civs in wonders too (e.g. Lithuania and Scandinavia)

On wonder balance, the least amount of thought went into balancing the production costs.
Those will probably have to be updated for most wonders once again.
Also curious about the possible changes in tech requirements (and possibly on which wonders should get obsolete techs, I didn't add too much of those).

The Pandidakterion (the University of Constantinople):
+20% science, +1 or 2 scientists, or only one of these effects
Required tech: maybe Classical Knowledge, not sure
    Required religion: Orthodoxy
Obsoletes with: not sure about tech, but somewhere around 1400-1500

What is the logic behind something going "obsolete"? How is a date chosen?

Because it existed until the fall of Constantinople. Alternative: to make it not obsoleting but being replaced with a university (or/and a madrassa) if the city is conquered by a Muslim civ.

Since both Orthodox wonders and scientific wonders are rather rare, it's a possibility.
    Thanks for the idea, noted!

    Hi,
I have not seen it mentionned nor implemented (sorry if I missed it), so maybe Tsarevets.
It could be a defense, productive, religious (+ faith points for the Bulgarian UHV?), or even spy bonus given the Wikipedia:
I have not played the Bulgarians yet, so I don't know if/where they might need balance.
