He turned AA off to speed up the renders. Also, I would guess he forgot to turn the sky (haze, fog, etc) off. I was not gonna mention it since it is a preview render and it works as such.

the AA is in fact off to speed render time...this thing is alot more parts than youd think...
not sure about the sky etc...thought that was off, but I'll make sure before final run...
ok, so on to fine details I think...and if one of you guys who is better at Bryce than I, please help me figure out how to put a blue "shine" on a texture...I know it can be done, because one of the tutorial textures is what I want, only I need it on a different texture...
I know the tutorial is there so you can see how its done, but Im not sure what settings to change...
actually, the biggest problem Im having is working with textures (Not counting animation, which completely escapes me)...
