Word Processors

This thread could also be a search on Google.

And PS: Microsoft Word works - as long as the user doesn't screw it up. It magically doesn't 'not work'. Turner's suggestion is best, but Abi doesn't look half bad either.

Always are, always will be. If you know what's good for you.

;)

OpenOffice 2.0 is on beta now....I might have to d/l it.

And Word is perfectly useable. You just have to be smarter than it.

It takes up too many rescources for me. I open up the taskmanager and it says
WINWORD 86
or something around the 80's. It's crashing alot. Plus I havn't ranted about Windows for a while :mischief: .

The problem with word is that it thinks it knows what you want it to do. Which results in weird changing of a font when pressing enter, for instance. You can't even turn the functions off. Awesome. :ack:

Abi word is good suggestion i use it myself and i recommend it over Windows word any day.

I could not agree with you more. :ack:

Yes, if resources are a problem, abiword is a lightweight, efficient alternative.
