I can't remember the last time I've seen an AI Chariot anywhere on any kind of map, let alone one rolling through my territory.

I had one game where Egypt sent 20 chariots to attack several infantry on a fortifide hill. The lost every one. Several turns later another 20 chariots attacked the same group of infantry, and again lost every one. A few turns later, 10 more chariots attacked to the same results. A few turns later a ran through Egypt and conquered it without a fight.

I don't have much respect for the chariot!

Take it out of the AIs hands and the Egyptian War Chariot is a great UU. 20 shields for a horse is great value. Get a stack of these and watch those cities fall. OK, so it may not be much use against industrial units but which first tier unit is?

Give them a try. I doubt that you'll be disappointed.
