Hello, I'm hopping around all the forums I can to advertise an excellent Modern World Scenario called World 2004. World 2004 was developed by Maciek Plewa (Maciek) and Christopher Sharp (_Impreza_). It's based on the old Tony Blair's UK scenario developed by Chris.

The World 2004 expansion pack is a sequel to the massively popular World 2003 featuring new multiplayer mode, more than 220 units, new technologies, buildings, wonders, concepts, and much more. See the latest screenshots, and read more about World 2004 concepts, units, technologies and buildings.

World 2004 is an exciting and realistic, at times brutal, simulation of the complex, current world situation. It features unique and realistic new units such as the special forces, attack helicopters, different classes of ships, spy satellites and terrorists, and much more.

Play your part in one of four powerful alliances or define your own Coalition and the Axis of Evil; trade arms and technologies, declare a War on Terror and participate in peacekeeping operations. Develop new technologies increasing your supremacy on land, sea, air and space. Host the Olympic Games to boost tourism and make your citizens happy by building casinos, museums and tourist resorts. Increase your productivity with nano-technology robotic plants and oil refineries. Finally build a manned space ship and colonize Mars! Do you have what it takes to achieve full spectrum domination?

World 2004 allows you to play online or against the computer, with the new mini 8-country version making quick battles and online games much more enjoyable.

    Concepts
Arms Trade - Buy and sell production licences for your indigenous systems such as aircraft or tanks to other countries. New balanced arms licence categories include: Armor, Aircraft, Helicopters, Ships

Peacekeeping - Help your weak allies defend against aggressors by deploying UN peacekeeping forces without formal declaration of war.

War on Terror - Mobilize your country to fight for freedom, decreasing war weariness at the cost unhappy citizens.

Locked Alliances - Play as part of an alliance and build a powerful Coalition against hostile alliances. Help your fellow alliance members with preferential trade rates and support them in time of hostile aggression.

    System Requirements
    Civilization III: Conquests - English
Pentium 4 1.6Ghz, Athlon XP 1800+ or better
    256MB RAM
220 MB free hard drive space
The multiplayer version can be run on a 500MHz CPU with 256MB RAM.

Note: French and German versions are coming soon.

This link includes both the 1.1 and the 1.2 version, though there are still bugs in 1.2 and I myself don't play it.

Also, you're going to need WinRar to be able to unzip the files. WinRar is way better then WinZip, IMHO :). Here's a free trial download of WinRar: Clicky

Now that you mention it, I should have put that on the first post. I'm too lazy to write it all down, here's another screenie:

Okay, that one's old, I can't use it, great job. Lol, sry, I'm tired. Basically, all the major world powers are represented. Germany and France are together, and most of Europe around the Med is as well. The Arab Countries are together (Israel, Syria, Iran, and Turkey are on their own, Afghanistan is it's own country, while Iraq is under US and UK control. Africa is divided up into four countries, and South America is four or five.

    Okay, here's the list buddy:

    Central Africa
    India
    Syria
    Pakistan
    Israel
    Australia/NZ
    UK/Ireland
    Afghanistan
    Iran
    South Korea
    North Korea
    Scandinavia
    Latin America
    North Africa
    Canada
    South African Block
    South East Asia
    Eastern Europe
    Indonesia
    Mexico
    South America
    Brazil
    South EU
    Poland and Allies
    USA
    Arab Nations
    Germany/France
    Russia
    China
    Turkey
    Japan
    Central Africa

Having this much on a map at once tends to make the game run slower, so there is a Superpowers version with just:

    South EU
    Poland and Scandinavia
    USA
    Islamic Alliance
    Germany/France
    Russia
    China
    UK/Commonwealth

Like per turn or initally? On my computer (Which is kinda high-end), it takes about 15 min to load up, then about 30 seconds to 3 min per turn, depending on who's at war with who. After you load it up and save it, it will take much less time to load, so after that, it's not much of a nuisance. Compared with the original game, this is nothing. It unfortunately does take a while I know, but there really wasn't anything that could fix that.

I've got a 512 MB HP with a 2.8 Processor. I know that isn't that great, but I've noticed a lot of people either have computers from like 1995 or mega-ultra Skynet computers. Be patient, and let it load :crazyeye:

    108 MBs, takes a bit ;)

123 MBs if you get the soundtrack

One more thing, make sure you download the Media package folks, from the number of downloads, I don't think everyone is getting both
