Every substitution costs 3 points. And I think any substitutions of players who have already played won't affect the score for the first set of matches.

    That's transfers, not substitutions.

All you lose from substitution is the points the player scored. That's the risk of it.

Oh. This is why I should've read the game rules.

You're choosing players for all three games so you need depth, but there's no good point in not playing them even if you think some player in their position will do better later.

Dempsey scoring a goal against England yesterday was not expected, but the risk of him being sent off is negligible compared to the potential points he might get. Keeping him on the bench because they met the toughest opposition in the group was clearly a mistake.

So if you want points you play the players you've got as early as possible and substitute them if the perform poorly, as you said.

Yep! It's also good to have Spaniards and Brazilians.

I think this is a needlessly complicated fantasy football system. Whatever happened to picking 11 and hoping for the best?

Means he's under an injury cloud. It's unknown whether he'll be fit to play.

Jesus I am ranked 718th overall right now. Let's see how long that lasts.

Almost twice as much points as the second... :goodjob:
    :hmm:
So, how many trades have you made so far, if I may ask?

No transfers, but I've pulled Suarez, Ivanovic and Gourcuff so far. That's 7 points between them, so my 78 is actually 71.

I have Handanovic from Slovenia in as GK. He scored 10 so I probably won't replace him with Buffon like I was intending to - you can't do much better than a clean sheet and bonus points from saves. That worked out quite nicely, since I only put him in the squad to save points and am not confident Italy can keep Paraguay out.

I didn't watch the entire game last night, but seeing the replay a direct red seems kind of harsh.

I'd be happier if he wasn't on my team too.. I'm sure he'll pick it up the next games though. :twitch:

No players in the Japan - Cameroon game. I have no idea how this game will turn out, other than it probably will be low-scoring like most other games.

I suspect you already had players with a fair amount of points at his position... At least he might increase in value now.
