Hello Everyone,

updated on 10/09/03, version 1.04 Conquest.
changes:
added new Conquest Ressources, units, civs and Terrain.
added lakes and Grassland-forest in Scandinavia.
updated 10/12/03, version 1.04 PTW:
Improved Sicily-Greece
Improved Kola Peninsula
Improved Iceland

It is a World map, changed to allow better gameplay in Europe. I put all 31 actually available CIVs on the map, to actually play the map you'll have at least to move some of them.
Anyone seeing mistakes or missing things on the map, please post.

PS: This map is designed for a very long game with a lot of players, unfortunaltely there is a maximum number of 512 cities to the game, which makes it impossible to play with 31 CIVs and letting them build all the cities they want. Everyone who plays the map should first change the game rules to fit his gameplay.

I think it will fit at www.civ.org.pl which is a great site for maps though it tends to be a bit slow and occasionally goes down for long periods of time.

download the file, unzip in your CIVPTW scenario folder. Start the game, choose load scenario, load the file you unzip and then select number of players... as you would for a normal game. Better not choose more than 12 players, since the game will get too slow with more.

it said it could not open the file, the file was corrupt, and all i see are .bic files...

do you have the patch for v 1.21f PTW? (if not you can get it on www.civ3.com) .bic files are the scenario files for CIV3, the scenario files for PTW are .bix . You won't be able to play a bix scenario without PTW expansion.

PTW is the official expansion pack for CIV3 with a lot of changes, as new Units, new Civs, and a lot of changes to the editor. There are so many difference that you can't open a PTW game with the standard CIV3...

Marla's map it was the first very good earth map

very good map. one slight suggestion in Western Canada the rockies don't go right ot the Pacfic

Are starting location ready (spain in spain etc?)

all starting locations for PTW are set, however, playing with 24 civs means only about 21 cities per CIV.... Anyone playing this map should have have a very very fast PC and keep the city limit of 512 cities in mind...

i think india is too close to ASEAN
if the USA is tiled southward, europe should be too.

i don't mind the dereformless, since no 2d map can accuracy descript earth.
but the projection does look funny.

btw, nice work.
