World Map Scenario

Got what is probably a stupid question here but here we go anyway.

In the World Map Scenario whenever I load the game up I always start in Australlia with a Barbarian Hut RIGHT beside my opening settler and worker. I have tried different Civ's but I keep getting put there so I am starting to think this isn't random at all. is there a way I can do something to get put someplace a bit more prosperous? or do I just have to grin and bear it?

Maybe its the only place you have a starting location, then you will always start there.

Go to the editor and change the place where it says player one starts.
