World Maps? Changing civ traits?

Hey, is there any world maps to play in conquests? Like a map of the whole world, and you get placed according to your civilization location (English in England, Germans in Germany, Spanish in Spain, etc) This would be very fun to play. I know of the scenarios, but those are only part of the world.
Also, where do I go to change civ traits? And what is this about Austrians I've been hearing? You can add them by removing another civ but where in the editor do I do that?

Yes, there's world maps from PTW in the C&C forum, and there's one in the scenarios folder of vanilla civ3 (you'll need to manually place locations). Also, I modded TET's world map for C3C with correct starting locations. (I'll ask him if it's ok to upload it here). It's a huge 256x256 map though, and I think there's even larger ones, too.

I recommend mine. It's 180x180, which is much more usable than the mega-huge ones. Plus, there is lots of room in Europe! I need to get around to added the Conquests starts though.

Is Europe on unproportionally large to fit all the civs, or did you manage to add the civs while still keeping it reasonable? (Read: Can you post a MiniMap?)

It's distorted in several areas, Europe especially, but I think it works for the better as far as the gameplay goes. The only time it really looks wierd is if you zoom out and see Europe in comparison with North America, but otherwise, I'd like to say it looks quite realistic.

Anyway, here's some main areas of distortion -

Obviously, Europe is enlarged. It still can get cramped, particularly for Rome, but hey, I like games that are a little cramped.

The oceans are relatively small, especially the pacific, but not so small that Galleys can sail to the new world. I don't think vast oceans really add much to the game, and I needed the space.

The Thailand area is enlarged for the Siamese.

Japan is enlarged.

South America is pretty small.

Also, it's not updated for Conquests. I'll have to get around to that ASAP. Hopefully I can tonight, if anyone wants it.
