World War I... in 2051 A.D.!?!?

What a fantastic story. Indeed, I have been like a kid anxiously anticipating the next episode of his favorite television program.

Coinich, it was incredibly good tale of war, suspenseful intrigue, and human tregedy and hope. I salute you.
I love the areas where you told the personal aspects of the indivdual solders during combat. You got really in their minds. I can feel the apprehension, and the courage as they face the situations that they found themselves in.
Also, I absolutely love the realistic view from the World leaders, a nice touch there.

I thank you for the story and will patiently wait for the next story.

JayW.

Perhaps your next story can be on how you got to the war in 2050.

Now wouldn't THAT be a read. ;)

Congrats on a story well done!

I read this story my first day on CivFanatics, and posted here four days later, on page 10 or 11, I think. I was amazed that such an author that he could write such an engrossing story would actually thank me for reading. This story has been a staple of my time here, and I'm grateful and indebted to the person who wrote it. This story was unique on the forums, combining images with story and not merely turnlog as you did. This was Red vs. Blue (literally) in an alternate universe, nearly two decades of constant war that ended with the almost-complete annihilation of your enemies and a brilliant story. Don't stay exclusively in SGs too long, and best wishes at work. I fervently hope to hear from this great writer again.

EDIT: I justnoticed you're ending the story. Shame :( It's been one of my favourite threads to read while I've been on CFC, so thank you for writing this amazing fiction (Or is it real? Who knows..)

:salute:

Wow. Just...wow. I can't believe it's actually ending; after being on the top of the list for 11 months it kind of seems like a staple of the forums. It was a great read, and a great ride, interesting and amusing at every plot twist and character death. A wonderful ending to a wonderful story. I hope you do well in your new job!

:goodjob:

All rides come to an end and boy it's been a good one. Can't wait for the next one (if there is one). Luck and fortune on your job....nothing worse than a job you dread. Well done and thanks so much.

Fat and sassy....I've got the fat part down working hard on sassy.

Great read!! Reminds me of the celtic peacekeepers (and that's a good thing) with the story with pictures.
Although I'm not sure how exciting it will be, considering you're 2 ages ahead of your closest opponent, I'll be reading along. :)
 Boy, was I wrong. :crazyeye:

coinich i have also always wanted to ask you if are you a star wars fan your avater is some adamiral or something from a new hope ironman than heads back into hiding from the new evil demacratic gomerment:ar15: :help:

i knew he blew up aldearan :bump: i just didn't know his name

iI was looking this over to see if there was any new posts and I think if you write another story it should be cizzlewalks idea

coinich are you going to give us one last farewell message?

He's probably busy. Coinich wouldn't just stop posting with all of these posts.

Governor Moff Tarkin blew up Alderaan (Coinich's avatar). I think I spelled it right. [/Star Wars nerdiness]

Yes, you did. His official title was "Grand Moff", which is actually an administrative post, not a military one. It's interesting that he was wearing a Fleet uniform in the movie. Also interesting is that he is more than just a governor, as Princess Leia probably got intentionally incorrect, because he had control over basically all of the Outer and Mid Rims, as well as, I believe, the Expansion Region. Alderaan is in the Core Worlds, though, so his authority didn't technically extend there. Maybe it was an easy way for the Emperor to claim that Tarkin acted all on his own initiative and overstepped his bounds. Something to think about.

Isn't Coinich in some fleet game or other elsewhere on t3h_n3tz0rz?
