World War I... in 2051 A.D.!?!?

Icmancin: Hope all is well. How goes the chronicling of the new perspective?

(Note that it is now Coinich's turn to wait with anticipation for someone else to write!)

I haven't made that much progress.... :( I have Cadet Meetings Monday Nights and Optional Training on Sunday and a HIGH chance of Marches; I have to practice my Trumpet LOADS; I have a Trivia Tournament this Tuesday only haveing finished one last Thursday and i am now part of the Student Council. If I can get Writing WW1 in historical form, lwet alone Civ, then I will be exetremely proud. I'll try to get some writing done today.

The Treaty of Adrianople

Article I

The parties, in principal, agreed to form and establish a global diplomatic peacekeeping body that will have the mandate to mediate or negotiate the end of any regional conflict – hereby avoiding and preventing a future global war. The parties may loan sizeable military contingents to the peacekeeping body to enforce any peace accord between two warring fractions.
In addition, the parties are required to give annual financial contributions to this body.

Article II

Any violation of this article will result of the recommencement of hostilities and the nullification of this treaty. An unconditional withdrawal of offending military units to their perspective borders will be initiated.
Any incursion by military units into a defending country will be regarded as an act of war and the offending unit will be dealt with accordingly. In addition, any military unit that conducts offensive and provocative behavior in the “free zones” in the disputed territories will be regarded as an act of war.
The parties agreed in principal to establishment of Free Zones in regions which fell out of the panties’ sphere of culture influence, therefore, allowing settlement of the disputed lands by peoples of the world. However, the parties, also, agreed on the principal self-determination of the indigenous people. The party who does not recognizes the rights of the indigenous people – which is agreed also on in the Treaty of the International Rules of Civilization, Conference III – will be in violation of international law and will be subjected to trade embargoes or military action.

Article III

The Fascist Mayan Confederacy of American States cedes fifty percent of the territory of America on the Yucatan Peninsula. Also, the Mayan government cedes the provinces of Kaminaljuyu and Lagartero on the Iberian Peninsula including the concaves of Talum and Coba near the territory of English Upper America to The Democratic Babylonian Republic of the United States of Africa. The Mayan Confederacy will disavow any claims on any new Babylonian land acquisitions.
The Byzantine Empire cedes the province of Amorium on the St. Matthews Island to the United States of Africa with the understanding that the Byzantines will drop all claims of the province and recognize the Babylonian rule over the territory.

The Democratic Incan Republic recognizes the Babylonian rule over the ancestral Inca lands on the mainland Africa with an understanding that Babylonian rule should remain democratic and will not change.

The Republic of England cedes much of English Upper America to the United States of Africa but reserves the right to request the transfer of ninety-three percent of Upper America back under the English rule. Both parties agreed on a referendum which will be held every ten years to let the indigenous people in the “free zones” to decide who they want to rule over them.

Article IV

The parties agreed on, in principal, to establish the Committee of Ethnic Peoples and Refugees to work in conjunction with The Red Cross. Its mandate is simply find or establish temporary housing for the refugees or and repatriate displaced persons. Also, the parties agreed on the formation of the Free Zone Reconstruction Administration which is designed to help the most devastated poor regions to rebuild their shattered economies.
As war reparations, United States of Africa agreed to pay for the reconstruction cost through its trade. The Babylonian government will to pay forty pallets of gold as war reparations through trade every year until 2090. Also, the parties agreed on continuing technology sharing to aid further development of the infrastructure of the cities were devastated.

Jay: Very Nice! I like it. Thank you for the work.

Apologies for being conspicuously absent over the last 6+ weeks. My new role has taken up virtually all of my free time as the end of year draws near. Additionally, the travel requirements have been hellish :crazyeye: as I try to keep everyone happy... so to speak. :mischief: Based upon my current, and expected, schedule - my story writing career is over for at least a few months.

Waiting on Icmancin.... ;)

Sorry guys. I don't have enough time. I'll make it a New Years Resolution.

I am glad that you like my peace treaty I wrote you. I hope you like me renaming Babylon to The Babylonian Republic of The United States of Africa. I thought it was keeping in what you wrote and the political change in the Babylonian Republic.

All I can say is... WOW! :wow: I can't believe it's been over 4 years since the last posting on this story. What a great ride that was. Such a good time. A year of literary license.

I just re-read everything online, off and on, over the last few days :coffee: and it is still amazing and puts a big smile on my face. :D

If anyone is still online that was a regular to this story.... THANKS AGAIN for the support. This is a VERY FOND memory. :thanx: :salute: :hatsoff:

At this point I only have Civ Rev on my XBox and my iPhone, so I don't see much more storymaking opportunity in the near future. We'll have to see what Civ 5 brings. I'm kinda itching to do another one. :hmm:

All the best to all of my friends on Civfanatics. You guys are the best. :trophy:

Wow, Coinich himself posting? This story ending is what made me get an account. I thought it was a troll. I'm kind of having a surreal moment. Even more so over the suggestion of a new story.

Hey,

Wow, Coinich himself posting? This story ending is what made me get an account. I thought it was a troll. I'm kind of having a surreal moment. Even more so over the suggestion of a new story.

As a matter of personal fact. This got me to post my 1st post. Looky.
Hello,

This is my first post and I wish to say. Great. When I found this site I just used the mods and scenerios. But I found this tale and I'm very impressed at your use of story and pictures. It is now the first place I visit. :goodjob:
It also has made me see deeper into the game, its more a story of world affairs then just build and destroy.

:thanx:

Blaze Injun

Now everyone go read this work of modern warfare at its best.

Actually I don't remember writing "I thought it was a troll." I don't know what I meant. Possibly a typo and I don't recall the original context. Anyway, my first post is also here, granted it was five years ago and I sucked at writing. I didn't even uses caps. =P

i have read this for months since page 21 i became a member just to congradulate you :D :goodjob: :king: :egypt: :worship: :worship: :band: and now :sniper: :sniper: :sniper:

I also was inspired by tR1cKy and Lord Iggy's Civ III stories running at about that time to join, but personally, and with no mean to insult this was always and remains my favorite story here.

If not the best, it's definately top 5. I would think that many would put it at number 2 after Pax Romana, but for me this story was THE best. Like Blaze Injun I implore anyone who's since joined or missed this to read it now. Hopefully it can inspire many new stories.

Wow, this one popped in out of the blue. Now you're making me want to go back and read it.

Silly internet, why do you taunt me so?
