I am looking for a First Persion Shoting game that has a World War II theam. I am already starting to get tired of the Star Wars FPS games like Dark Forces, Dark Forces II, Jedi Outcast, and Jedi Academy.

I have heard about Battlefield 1942 from others on the net. Then I have seen the Metal of Honor Series games (The Original and Rising Sun). I have also seen Call of Duty and Return to Castle Wolfenstine

Thanks for any personal reviews and recomendations :)

FPS games are not my cup of team, but I'd read that the Medal of Honor series usually get rave reviews. ;) Battlefield 1942 looks good too.

bf1942 is more multiplayer than anything else.

I've played bits of both the moh games and call of duty, and got different feels from both. The moh games are more of special ops type stuff, while call of duty gave me the feeling of being an unimportant grunt.

I'd say get all three. :D

How about "Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory", it's a free multiplayer WWII FPS. The teams are axis vs allies and the maps are a lot of fun. If anybody wants to download the game here's the link. Just choose the game that fits your Operating System.

Battlefield 1942, is a great game. Especially because there are a lot of cool mods for it.

Single player, the Medal of Honor series is OK. I've played the first 2 a bit. I hear great things about Call of Duty.

I've played all of them online and still prefer the HL mod Day of Defeat. Hopefully the Call of Duty mods will come out and improve its MP.

Battlefield 1942 is the best game I have every played. Not only is the first person good but the airplanes and ships are also great.

Battlefield 1942 is easily the best multiplayer shooter for WW2 I have played, and Medal of Honor is very good in single player. I haven't really tried Call of Duty that much, but it's good so far, and I hear excellent things abou it.

Also, a great add-on/mod for BF1942 is Desert Combat, you can find more information and download it at http://www.desertcombat.com

Interesting, Would BF1942 have Bot cabibilities (IE Play Multiplayer mode with the AI controled players) Like in Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy?

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by that, but I have some ideas. Battlefield 1942 has a Co-Op mode that allows people to play multiplayer games alongside AI controlled bots. I haven't tried it out yet, but it could be interesting. Also, the single-player is entirely you with bot allies and enemies (it is basically the same thing as multiplayer mode except all bots instead of some or none).
