Worldbuilder won't load!

I've had it here for about 10 minutes.
Edit: Eventually I get a pop-up that says:the civilization v exe has crashed and can no longer provide services like mod info.

Did you put in the correct folder paths during the SDK installation? There are two different paths which you must correctly put in.

For me, the first one was:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\sid meier's civilization v\CivilizationV_DX11.exe

or for DirectX9

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\sid meier's civilization v\CivilizationV.exe

Then for the 2nd one, User Path:

That will be found in your My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization V

Mine doesn't open either.

I did make some *slight* progress though: if I do not use the Steam link to the SDK and instead navigate to P:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\sid meier's civilization v sdk\WorldBuilder\x86 I get a popup window asking me to select dx9 or dx 10/11 like I am starting up the game.

But there it sits, as of now 25 minutes....

got it!

Kaspersky (my antivirus) was blocking it.

EDIT: Making it a "trusted app" doesn't fix either. I have to pause protection for it to load up. I'm still new to the KIS 2011 version.... its not blacklisted but its not allowing the startup scripts to run me thinks/. I don't know how to fix yet.

I had this yesterday and this is how it was fixed. I clicked on Civ5 and apparently there was a new patch that needed to be installed. If you run Civ5 once to install the patch, then it should work, or at least that did it for me.

I still cant get this to work. After the latest patch I now get the pop-up allowing me to choose if I want to run DX9 or 10/11(if I start the application through the .exe file and not through Steam interface). But after that all I get is the splash screen no matter how long time I wait for it.

Anybody have any idea what I could try?
Im running Win7 x64 and bought the game via Steam directly.

I really need help with this.
I have installed the VS2010 Isolated application.
I have reinstalled CIV5 and the SDK numerous times.
I can start ModBuddy and verify that the paths are correct as stated above.

But...I cant start WorldBuilder. Am I the only one who has this problem?

I also cannot start Worldbuilder. I'm using Win7 32-bit. I have installed VC++ and VS2010 and .Net 4 Framework. I got the latest patch. ModBuddy, Fire Tuner and Nexus work fine. But when I try to run Worldbuilder, I get an error just after the window appears and then it closes. I don't see any complaints like this in other forums, so I don't know what's going on.

I solved my problem by allowing the WB and Civ5DX11 processes all activity in Outpost firewall. Now i seems to work just fine.
