Whos the worst leader in your opinion?

I choose Stalin with his bad UU, late UB, and Agg/Ind combo. Cossacks are somwhat worthless, Research institute is somewhat late, and seems like the traits aren't synergistic at all.

What do you think?

Genghis Khan has the two worst traits in the game, has a UU that's speedy but has the same problems actually killing things as the unit it replaces, and a UB that does nothing but give said UU an insignificant boost unless you have Ivory, which is rare.

I think we have a winner.

A shame, because in vanilla they were easily one of the top three unique units.

For worst leader, I'd have to chose between:

Catherine (Imperialistic, Creative) - Her traits are weak and UU/UB are probably underpowered, as said above.

Mao Zedong (Expansive, Protective) - While his UU is strong, his traits are horrible and his UB leaves a lot to be desired.

Suryavarman II (Expansive, Creative) - Weak traits, weak UU, and a UB that doesn't do much for me.

They should give the Keshiks the ability to reduce city defenses because the mongols were masters of improvising seige weaponry on the spot.

America is also pretty weak in general. Why was Washington nerfed simply because he had fin/org and worst of all, given to Darius? Guess the developers weren't really thinking about game balance.

Anybody who hates the Expansive trait, obviously doesn't play higher than Noble Difficulty.

Expansive/Creative are a mega-powerful combination that leads to lightning fast REX'ing in the early game. Especially if you're lucky enough to find One or Two early happiness resources.

Eh, expansive is my favorite secondary trait, being a major component of my loving three of my favorite guys (Shaka, Mehmed, and Pacal) whom I usually play on Emperor... And I still think Suryavarman sucks ;)

obviously

I play on Emperor.

Top tier traits:
Financial
Philosphical
Organized
Charismatic

Middle tier traits:
Spiritual
Expansive
Aggressive
Industrious

Lower tier traits:
Protective
Imperialisitic
Creative

I would argue that Aggressive, Protective, and Imperialistic are the three worst traits. So that gives us Carlemagne, Tokugawa, and Ghengis Khan as the candidates for the worst leader. The HRE has a good UB and UU, so Carlemagne isn't it. I think its a toss up between Toku and the Khan. Toku has a pretty good UU though, and his traits do produce some awesome gunpowder units. Ghengis Khan is horrible economically, but at least his traits, UB, and UU have some synergy.

America's leaders are great, especially Lincoln. Despite how late they come, the UU and UB are actually pretty strong too.

And since when did people consider Aggressive one of the worst traits in the game?

I don't, I put it at as a middle trait.

Yeah I sort of agree with this, but it all depends on how you use them...

Just my experience. Why? Do you think those are the best three?

Meh, well, my experience suggests that spiritual deserves *nothing* short of top tier, but doesn't suit every playstyle... Aggressive I have a hard time putting beneath top tier as well. Expansive I prefer to aggressive, but that's just because I'm a builder at heart... I have trouble placing expansive as a top tier trait though, as I look at it as my favorite secondary trait rather than a primary.

I usually win emperor solo too, before you start to say "Well YOU obviously never play above noble!" or something to that effect :p
