Hi all,
I seem to have yet a different Civ2 install problem on my Dell Inspiron 9100 laptop. When I try to install from my CD drive, I get the following application error:

WOWEXEC caused a General Protection Fault in module KRNL.386.EXE at 0001:1F07.

I have tried adjusting the compatibility for the Setup.exe file numerous times to all possible settings.

I have read dozens of other messages here in the boards and tried solutions suggested for other problems, including downloading and extracting SHELL.DLL, Indeo codecs, Autoexec.nt file, etc., but nothing seems to work.

Any ideas? The disk itself seems fine; I was able to install the game on my brand new Dell XPS desktop. But I would dearly love to also install it on my laptop for road trips. (Funny thing is, even though I own Civ3 and Civ4, it's Civ2 that I always come back to.)
