So I'm on a continent with Wu Zetian and Askia. Wu procedes to:
- Capture all the city states near her.
- Start a war with Askia, which is still ongoing as on 1590AD, and conquer most of Songhai.
- Sign a pact of cooperation with me, and ask me to join her war with Askia. I accept and snag his capitol, not a bad deal.
- Conquer my maritime city state buddy that I pledged to protect, and says "oops sorry, I hope this doesn't cause trouble between us".
- Move a large number of units directly towards my territory.
Having not been born yesterday, I declare war on her. Despite being outnumbered, my camel archers clean up on her waves of Cho-Ku-Nus. She built a LOT of units. Finally she accepts a peace treaty.
Then, the very next turn after we arrange peace, she comes to me proposing a research agreement and then later a pact of cooperation
. Aren't we such good friends? In my previous game the AIs all starting hating my guts after I attacked other civs, but apparently Wu doesn't mind too much if I just wipe out her entire army. Either that or she's just acting nice until she's ready to stick the knife in.
