Ok so here's my first models i've ever made (but not last:crazyeye:)
They are designed for WW2 mod making by kodzi, me and some other people
Feel Free to use it
Now the are animated (thx sharixk for tutorial) and with lower number of polys (thx white rabbit for tutorial) :)

KV1

Info taken from http://www.nemo.nu/ibisportal/5pansar/index.htm
The KV-1 was the Red Army’s standard heavy tank until 1943.
It was massproduced from February 1940 to early 1943. First service: the Finnish Winter war 1939. in 1941 some 636 KV-1 tanks had been built. Showed be too slow during action, a lighter and faster vehicle appeard in late 1942. Replaced by the JS (Josef Stalin) series. Production: ca 6.247 KVs. They were equipped with many different 76.2 mm guns. Several prototypes (#4-7) were made in 1941-42, but only a flame thrower version (KV-8) and the quite different KV-85 (1943) came into production.

KV2

Info taken from http://www.nemo.nu/ibisportal/5pansar/index.htm
The KV-2 was made to support infantry. Hull and chassis was from KV-1 and remained almost unchanged. The huge box-like turret gave the vehicle a total height of 3.28 m, which drew just too much enemy fire, and most of them were lost at the begining of the war. The weight made the KV-2 slow with a maximum speed of just 26 km/h. The production of the KV-2 stopped when the factories were taken by the Germans in 1942

Weight: 52 tons
Length: 6,80 m
Width: 3,32m
Armour: 30-110 mm
Engine: 600 hps
Speed: 26 km/h
Gun: 122/152 mm
Crew: 6

:goodjob: The KV-2 looks very good! The KV-1 seems to be a little too flat, especially the turret. Both tanks could need some more detail though. Anyways good job!

@ Hardner - I-ll fix it, KV-1 has flat turret in real but this unit is much more flat than real one, i'll fix it

@MaxRiga : I'll let you know when the animations would be finished, i like your mod so it would be nice to see this unit in this fine mod :)

@GarretSiddzaka Yes KV-2 was real killer smashing german tanks... but too slow and with short range and getting quickly short of ammo... but in 1941 they were practicaly invincible (compared to german tanks), they we're destroyed easily only by flak 88 and swamps swollowing this heavy tanks

@snafusmith You're leaving modeeling? What happened?

I'm not so much leaving, as taking an extended break. I'm in the USAF and don't have much control at the moment as to where I am and what I do with my time. I didn't expect to be able to make any units past early June, but luckally the end date for my work has been pushed back to July 26. After that, only Uncle Sam knows when I'll be back here.

Your work is very good, and shows a lot of promise. If you have issues with anything (animations, skins, modelling), just send me a PM w/ a question. We have to make sure people get their vehicles, after all!

Ok they are animated now with lower poly number

i don't know why i can't make .zip attachments so .zip extension is changed to .doc

after downloading it change extension to .zip and than unpack

Good job on reducing the poly counts.

You can no longer attach zip files because you should be using the new File Database to post files.

For any old units you can just link the files (i.e no need to upload them again) but since you uploaded these not only after the FDB was initiated but also after the zip extension was excluded from what can be attached, in order to encourage the use of the database :) and because you renamed them to doc, I would recommed that you remove these files and make an entry for them in the FDB. Once that's done you can link those entries in the post (you should not link the files directly). Anyway, there's a FAQ thread on the FDB as well as a discussion thread, so if you got any further questions look em up there. :)

ok thx now i know what's happened with zip extension i'll put it there asap :)
