    I would never saw it coming either because I would not think about Barbarians in a modern scenario.

    But I've seen this happen before. In another PBEM one player lost it's only city to Barbarians in this way!
    It is rare but does happen.

    My military power has improved but I am still not in a position to launch an assault on anybody. Nevermind Japan but Russia has steadily consolidated its defenses. And I am looking at massive Indian fleets here there and everywhere.

    City retaken from the barbarians... lots of American fighters in the air, covering territory from Japan and Russia. To avoid unnecessary losses for both sides, India air force has limited its actions against Japan and Russia. But next turn it may be forced to carry out necessary air raids.

    This turn India was able to sunk the Russian carriers. Hopefully, Russian squadrons of jet fighters were also destroyed.

    Global warming is a concern...
