Does anyone know how the years per turn progress and how game speed affects it please?
look for the GameSpeed_Turns table with
<GameSpeedType> = marathon, epic, etc...
<MonthIncrement> = number of months between each turn
<TurnsPerIncrement> = number of turns before using the values on the next row
Thanks. I'm sure that'll make sense when I have time to look into it.
It sort of makes sense, but if the game doesn't start in Ancient are some of those rows skipped?
Yes they are. The game calculates where to start based on actual year when an era starts.
Using this table you can design your own calendar for a game or scenario, e.g. the game can last from 1000 bc till 500 ad. My mod Real Era Stop features such custom calendars.
Thanks. It's seeming a little complicated to use the settings. I think I'll use GetTurnYearForGame and GetTurnMonthForGame instead.
