And again, my video card is acting up.

Anyway, my computer crashed recently due to a virus. My computer is fixed now, and there wasn't any lasting damage done. However, I tried to play Call of Duty 2, and it happened.

It said my video card wasn't powerful enough!

Here is the error message it gave me.

Now I can say with FULL ASSURANCE that this game worked before with the exact same video card. I think I may need to download an update to my card, but I can't seem to find it. My card is an NVIDIA 9000. Would someone care to assist me?

go to start>run>dxdiag and tell us what exact video card you have. nVidia 9000 is not a card, its a series.

Either way, your best bet is to wipe the old drivers ( Control panel> Device Manager> video adapters, uninstall them) and install new drivers. nVidia has recently released their own series of mobile drivers, so you can get those from their website as well.

Hmm, Radeon is not made by Nvidia. What you have is a ATI Radeon 9000 (More technicaly a ATI Radeon R200 when doing a wikipedia search on Radeon 9000).

In looking at the specifications for the Radeon 9000 and the SysReq for Call of Duty II, The game itself requires at minumum, a DirectX 9.0 compatible 64 MB video card and your video card already supports that Video RAM limit (Depending if its a 64 MB or a 128 MB version).

The only solution I would have (Since you are not alone since there are a handful of CoD2 users having the same issues with older Radeon video cards) is to update yout drivers.

Link to ATI's Driver updates.

At least you were not suffering the video card issues that I had with my Dell Laptop that decided to take a poo on the video card :p.

Thanks for all the help, guys!

I'm working on fixing my card, and as far as I know, my card is re-upgraded.
I think it's the game that's the problem now, and I'm working on fixing it. The arrival of my new computer is approaching, so I may not have to worry about it after all. Thanks again for the help! :D
