Bwahahaha. My army of Mandekalu knights stretched from horizon to horizon. Darius had given me Susa in exchange for keeping his capitol. I pressed my wave further east to France...where Pachacuti's Slingers were already tearing Napoleon's second city down. I also DoW on the French.

Just in time, too. There were still four or five Slingers surrounding the city. As they brought it down to one HP or so, however, the city managed to kill an Incan swordsman. My time to strike!!! A Mandekalu swooped in and attacked through the gap. An Incan target was suddenly a new acquisition for my collection. :smug: Pacachuti's forces found themselves teleported hundreds of miles away, leaving Paris alone for the taking.

Ahh, 1UPT. Glorious.

Once I took a Russian city with one spearman (after Rome chipped it down to 1 or 2 HP). Caesar just packed up and went home. The kicker: I had only declared the war because my spearman was stuck in Russia's borders a few turns earlier. Good times.

This will also piss you off some day. You'll see.

Spoiler :
An allied city state will snipe a city you wanted to take and it will raze it -.-

I recall declaring war on an allied city-state over that once. And to add insult to injury, I think it was a city I originally founded. -_-

I had that happen and the city had three wonders in it. Very mad. Even after the CS took it, it still had 6 population (not bad for being conquered twice).

I think they call that "cherry picking". I don't think the AI is capable of recognizing it, but what I've noticed is that whoever you cherry pick from goes on to covet your lands and will eventually DoW you. Karma I guess.

I think I need to play with city-states more.
