I'm totally on board for just about everything metric, but Fahrenheit is still handy for outside temperature.

If you want to get into that, we can say that:
Inches are less precise than centimeters.
Yards are less precise than decimeters.
Miles are less precise kilometers.
Gallons are less precise than litres.
Cups are less precise than millilitres.
Pounds are less precise than hectograms.
Ounces are less precise than grams.
etc.

When expressed to the same number of decimal places, a Fahrenheit reading will always be a closer approximation.

Precision is pretty much interchangable with "reproducability". A temperature system perse cannot be "reproducible" if it is continuous.
