What would be a game that you would love to play? It can be anything that you've dreamed about, whether or not we have the technology to support it, and would be for any platform you like.

I'll Start.

I'd love to be able to play an upgraded version of SimEarth, with cheats, sandbox mode, up to date science and physics, and is completely customizable. I can switch between 2D and 3D at will. Kinda like Celestia meets SNES SimEarth.

Another dream game is one that is dedicated to nuclear warfare. I could launch all sorts of nuclear weapons, the environment would be fully destructible, and there would be unique explosions and mushroom clouds, instead of the same exact look for every explosion. Of course, the game would be in 3D. I love nukes.

Both would be for the PC.

What's your dream game?

Civilization 23

alternatively, virtual reality M&B or any cool FPS would be pretty awesome.

the original X-COM: UFO Defense with modern day graphics (as long as they keep the b-movie touch) plus the customizeability of UFO: Extraterrestrials Gold Editon.

The scope of Civilization (stone age to modern), the battles of Total War, and the micro-detail of a Paradox-ish title. I call it:

Medieval Iron Hearts of War IV: Total Victoria Civilization II

The simulation logic from Dwarf Fortress, made accessible through a Dungeon Keeper like engine and interface. Add a trade like in the Patrician games, and add multiplayer modes that allow you to interact with other fortresses, or play as goblins/demon invaders.

BC2, CoD, or any other shooter where you are "in the game", but felt no pain. Or any game where you actually went inside it. When I was a teen I dreamed of maybe a sex sim that you could go in. :p

^ That would be nice. However I dont think 95% of the populations computers would be able to run it in their current systems. Until then, I'll wait :D

I. Any future game that I want that is not obligatory tied to a online digital distribution system.

II. Single and multi-player, customizable strategy game somewhere between Spore, Civilization series, Masters of Orion/GalCiv2, and general Paradox Interactive formula. Would be multi-threaded and 64 bit. Would have user content sharing like Spore through very easy-to-use editors, but also moddable at script and .dll level. Basically a 4X in space, on planets, and from the dawn of intelligence to the collapse of the universe.

III. non-subscription MMO-FPS-RTS hybrid that was like X-COM and any reasonably awesome 32 vs 32 FPS. Only if internet subscription ever returns to reasonable rates.
