It's probably a re-post of some old topic I couldn't trace, still---

I recall spending hours and hours playing DUNE (minus the 2000), simcity (---), wolfenstein, and of course anything by Apogee (till the mid 90s)... good old DOS (it's no *nix but I still cherish it) and dozens of large, ugly, fragile black diskettes all over my desk... hmmm well still it's worth SOME nostalgic blabbering

isn't it?

I'm amazed that no one has answered Civ I.
Honestly, Civ I is an oldie (everyone knows that, it came on some 5 1/4 inches disks). I can't answer it, didn't play Civ I, so I'll answer

Winter Challenge. The only "oldie" game I've ever played, and it was quite fun.

You can never waste too much time!

ah, but did you USE any of them lately?

I recently re-installed WIN 3.1 from its original 5 1/4 disks, on a 80386SX machine I own. neat, ha?

When I was in Mexico two years ago, I played Civ1 and Colonization the whole year.
I also still like Master of Orion, Settlers 1 (still the best in the series), Dune (the only game that deserves to have that name!), Railroad Tycoon (not very different form RRT2), Monkey Island 1 + 2 (recently played those too), Maniac Mansion and Day of the Tentacle, and many, many others. Those games are classics and will never dissappear from my 3 1/2" disk collection!

Pirates, California games, Civ1 and Centurion!!!!!!!!!!
Those were probably my favorites back in the good old day when windows where only something you had in houses....

Veni Vidi Vici.

Coolbook:
Håkan Eriksson, Stormerne, vladmir_illych_lenin, Cunobelin Of Hippo, Bluemonday.

I would have to say that Utopia, AD&D, and Night Stalker were my favorite OLD games. Intellivison was pretty cool.
For the computer, I was a huge Civ 1, Colonization, Pirates, and Railroad Tycoon player. Also I can't forget Diplomacy!!!

CivI, SimCity, Xcom series, North 'n' South, this really cheap and nasty game called annals of Rome that I used to love, Ultima. There are loads more that I can't recall at present.

Mongol, yeaaaaaahhh!
North n' South was a killer...

Man how the F%^k could I forget Bards Tale and defender of the crown. Here is a little trivia poser: What was the secret word that you had to say to the monks to get let into the dungeon in bards tale?

I had this game on my C64 called Penguin Tower. It was a bit like bomberman but with penguins. It was great.
