Italy and very proud of it V_V
Now we know all the UAs,UUs and UBs about the 9 Civs. Which one do you prefer?
I really like Byzantium, Theodora is fantastic and the Byzantines have two UUs so conquests are possible. I'm thinking to a strategy: In the early game I'd grow normally, then found the religion in the late Classical Era, then get Teology, build the Hagia Sophia (as historically xD) and get a second Great Prophet, than enchance the religion with all the beliefs (included the Bonus Belief). Then with the Dromon and the Cataphract (which are Medieval units I think) go to war against the weakest civ, then spread the religion and build a great empire.
(sorry for my bad english xD I'm Italian)

Ethiopia sounds interesting, i often like small defensive games.

But i'm quite keen on playing as the Maya. I don't know if they'll be my favourite but they are the ones eally drawing me in atm.

I too wait to create a grand religious Byzantine Empire and send my Dromon fleet to action..

Also naval trading empires with Dutch and Carthage, manipulating city-states with Sweden and Austria.. also the Celts' UU pictish warrior seems very cool, love to pillage. :D
I think all Civs seem interesting in their own way, except maybe the Huns.

To be honest some of the stuff we know by name only, like what does Mayan Pyramids or Austrian Coffee House do? So getting new info will change opinions too. Also, original Civs like England will become new favorites too with changes to the game.

I'd start with austria figure out all the mechanices such as religion espionge and etc. while doing that figure out how to marry into a city-state. Then head into Byzantium and etc. But I'd have play all of the new civs to find my favourite. But I have to say either Austria or Byzantium.

The Mayans, Swedish, Celts, and Byzantines look pretty interesting, I'll definitely be playing them at least once.

I like the Netherlands lately, but have we have new info on the East India Company UA? In CiV Gods and Kings analyst there is no update. The one thing I am wondering is how the sea beggar differs from the privateer? The Dutch seem very mysterious, I may play as them first.

One thing I was thinking about is that if you play as the Netherlands, you have to hope you are near enough marsh and flood plain tiles, for polder to be effective. You might have this advantage around one or two cities if your lucky.

Sweden!

I love the diplomatic victory type because it leaves you with a lot of freedom concerning the growth of your empire, so I can't wait to spam GPs and gift them to city states.
Once they are all my buddies I am going to conquer some hated civ with a horde of caroleans! Awesome XD

you know its really kinda hard to say which of the new civs are my favorite, you know since the game wont even be out for another month, but, i do have to say that im really interested to see how they decided to implement the mayan long count calendar, even if it is really only cosmetic, i still think its a pretty cool idea

Except there is nothing preventing Ethiopia from founding more cities, they just lose their bonus if they do. India are fundamentally restricted

No they are not. You can go on conquering spree & build courthouses + police state & you will not only ignore the negative part of their UA but they'll also get +3:c5happy:.

The bad thing about Ethopia that they will be the first human target if nearby as a conqueror human civ can't spare Ethopia as they will become really tough to fight later on due to their UA & UU combo.

It seems like my favourite G&K civ is going to be Huns. A nice conquering UA & horse archer UU, it is going to be fun to conquer the whole continent early on. I just hope they improve game performance so I can play large & huge continents and conquer & raze continent after continent facing the challenge of improved naval AI (hopefully).

The second favourite civ is Maya. It sounds like a very versatile civ, lets see how their UA will exactly work like. I was really hoping for a UI for Mayans though.

For me:

1. Maya: Great people, I am half Kaqchikel, I can't wait to see the pyramids and create my legions of Maya cities (Always rename my Capital to Iximché :p).
2. Ethiopia: When I don't play an aggressive conquerer in multiplayer I like playing with few cities. Ethiopia's UA and what I will assume to be their start biases (mountains and hills) are some of my favorite terrain.
3. Carthage: THe ability to get harbors instantly I can't wait. I love building coastal cities and often times I feel like I am the only one to target the production bonus/movement bonuses in multi. Harbor + sea resources fits one of my playstyles.

There's nothing preventing Ethiopia from conquering either. India struggle to settle though; they are restricted. They just get their bonus elsewhere.

The most interesting ones: Maya and Ethiopia

What I think I might like: Sweden, Carthage (mountaineering ahoy)

Ugh: Austria, Netherlands

I think the celts will be my favourites. I put raging barbs on and open honor and then use my picts to rush a religion. Speeds up liberty bonuses too.
