Mine:
1) AI will be more atrocious than strategy genre's average
2) Turn loading times will be more terrible than modern turn games average
3) Leader agendas will restrict diplomacy by making AI predictable and inflexible, dooming itself by fanatic pursuit of "personal goals" regardless of situation

Computer spec requirements will be too high, so it's not worth getting a computer that will play Civ. Or worse, that I get a computer with the proper specs, but the game still doesn't run properly.

Turn loading times will be more terrible than modern turn games average

Turn loading times lasting more than 20 seconds on standard maps/game length during the late-game.

I'm sure that won't happen this time, right? RIGHT?

I do a first time install after downloading it from Steam & spiders start crawling out of my keyboard and speakers and I open my mouth to scream but my teeth fall out

Yeah, I forgot about PC specs in the original post.

I already have PC mediocre enough to not work perfectly with civ5 + combine this with turn times and I get AI turns lasting 1-2 minutes :crazyeye:

1. UI/control conventions still stuck at the level of mediocre 90's titles
2. Non-functional MP for at least the 3rd consecutive vanilla release
3. AI game throwing
4. Limited agency/railroaded gameplay with lots of false choices
5. Excessively long turn times like 5 has

Same number of Civs or less on release as Civ V

That eureka moments create even more optimal build order than Civ V despite the developers trying to create more spontaneity.

Game crashing bugs... otherwise I have full faith in the man Ed Beach.

- late game - will it stand up to the rest of the game?
- Immersion or game-breaking AI stupidity or stubbornness
- too short eras (even on epic)
- balance of epic speed/huge map (will surely start my first game with standard settings to get used to the mechanics)
- 1UPT still being tedious
- exclusive wonders (if there are?)
- that the reality lovers win and the "cartoonish graphics" go overboard :D
- protection of tall empires leading to crippling of wide ones
- OP wide empires :crazyeye:
- getting my preordered key no earlier than 31st of October...

I biggest Fear would be going into an endless loop of "One More Turn, One More...' and not seeing life for about 6 weeks after release.

My greatest fear is dying cold, alone, poor and naked.
Oh you mean Civ6?

cold, alone, poor, naked, and waiting for the next Civ VI turn to load.

"just.. one.. more.. turn.. "

Giant Death Robots. :twitch:

EDIT:

Actually, that's #2.

#1 would be Anarchy's Children style XCOM squad, also containing Mr. Goodbody and the WoW Hunter.

Bad AI, long load times, and that they will fire 3/4th of the team on release day and the inevitable performance problems will never get fixed.

Surprise announcement that the new game will actually be called "Civilization 10"
