for Norton Anti Virus,would you like to renew now?


NO I don't.How do I get rid of this reminder.I can't find anything.I can't set it to anything but 1 day.

I assume you don't want to uninstall??

Can you find a registry setting for it? Maybe that might give you some clues? Do you get the popup every time you start the PC, or at a set time every day or what? If its every time you start the PC, it may be in the start-up bit of the registry, otherwise its probably in the norton section.

When you next see the popup, you could try putting your clock forward a year or so, before hitting the "remind me in one day" button (depends how clever the programmers were being).

Otherwise, you could always spam norton. That might at leat make you feel better.

while I now beleive a little common sense is your best anti virus defense,I might as well keep it.
It happens on a 24 hour schedule,not when starting up..funny thing is it not exactly the same time.I thought I wa getting a ping or whatever from Symantec but it happens whether I'm connected to internet or not.

I'll try the clock thing next time.....which should be anytime now

Yeah or at least make it smart and subtle, something like:
"once upon a time, in a fairy tale, a princess named DC or a charming prince called Hotline, they married and had a lot of IP addresses ..." something like that.
