The four assembled near the doorway. Pinman, holding Catharsis flag (much to Catharsis worry), approached the door first. He backed against the wall, held the flagpole out as far as he could, and prodded the door open.
Immediately, three darts sped through the doorway into the entry hall. They smacked into the Tercio Pikeman, but did no damage due to his strong armor.
After the team waited for more darts, Catharsis warily stepped into the room. It was a long hall curving off to the right somewhere, and looked fairly innocent. Still, Catharsis pulled out his pouch of lucky stones and began scattering them on the ground, one here, one there. As they bounced, darts flew out of the walls to smack into nothing.
Suddenly, Catharsis felt something scrape beneath his feet. He jumped back just in time to avoid a second dart coming out of the same hole that had already been triggered!
Even more cautious now, Catharsis retrieved his flag and began poking the ground with it like a blind man. He did this several times on each square of stone now- apparently each trigger held three darts.
Eventually, the room was clear. There was another door at the opposite side of the hallway. Cheerful at his victory, Catharsis turned around to tell the others that it was safe, when one block he missed clicked and a dart flew into his shoulder before anything could be done.
At his cry of pain, the Lieutenant, Backwards Logic, went in. Since Catharsis had secured most of the hall, it was safe. Backwards Logic carried Catharsis back into the entry hall, where he told what he had seen. There, on the opposite door, was carved a picture of a very large man standing at attention.
Tasslehoff inspected the dart hall one last time, and satisfied it was safe, came back to assist the flag-bearer.
Now the party must decide where they will go. Hopefully Catharsis will be alright.
