Well from what I know, the supposed partners in government were not told about this and this could force the shared government to dissolve and cause problems for the whole of Zimbabwe, so it is dumb move on Mugabe. Also the only people to get anything from this will be those connected to Mugabe. It is the same thing that happened to the seizure of farms by those so called veterans, who are just his cronies. Mugabe is tyrant and he lost an election and yet he forces his will on the people when they are in so much trouble due to the stupid policies of Mugabe.

But it always does. Most people care little for others outside of their family/friends(some don't even care about them) and will gladly inflict suffering on others for their own gain. They may not like to admit it, but it's true. That's why it's a good thing that the U.S. isn't a pure democracy but a republic instead... of course, most of our representatives only look out for themselves as well, but it's still better than mob rule.

 

Its a racist policy but it'll also be bad for the black majority. This will put many of Mugabe's cronies in power in corporate positions, it won't help the poor. It will though curtail foreign investment and put incompetent people in charge of corporations, this can only be to the detriment of the majority.

 

I'm surprised that the leftists here don't see the end result of this policy. Capital being shifted from the White bourgeoisie to the Black bourgeoisie. That is the probable end result.

 

The creation of a black bourgois would be a sign of progress. Capitalisim has to exist first before socialisim can be implemented. It's a nataural progression.

I agree. They should do so in an orderly manner. After that, the country will, in a few years, finally become just like what it was before the whites arrived in the first place.

I don't think Somalia is worse off than Zimbabwe. Economic and humanitarian indicies both seem to indicate that Zimbabwe is the absolute worst in Africa.
