Zohran Mamdani

I'm about at 10-12 posts on this same subject by now, and I've yet to be shown how the synagogue or its sponsored group is the cause of any of that despite your repeatedly roping the larger Israeli-Palestine conflict into this as if it means something.

This synagogue and this organization are absolutely one little part of the cause of that.

Your position, as well as these protestors, is pretty much that no one should be allowed to do that. That in all practical terms Jews should not have that opportunity. A bloke so much as chatting with one of them about a nice house that'd be good for them over there...? "Shut 'em down." A point of view that, had it been applied to any other demographic, would be labeled as discrimination.

Yes, very well deduced, my position is indeed that settlers shouldn't be allowed to go squat on Palestinian land. Attempting to call this a discriminatory position is just fairly absurd and reflects a complete failure to grasp any of the relevant issues.

I don't think "it's fine to give people information on how to do crimes because they can get the information elsewhere anyway" is really a great argument. The point here, which you're continuously refusing to get, is that they're specifically telling people to go settle in the West Bank, which means they're telling people to go violently displace the current inhabitants, whether they're framing it in that way or not.
again, what crimes were being committed by the attendees of the synagogue? title and section if you would, please.

you, Mamdani, and others only make vague references to actions by the Israeli state itself and it becomes guilt by association from there...

Director of Appointments for Mamdani outstays her usefulness after 1 day:

One of Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani’s new appointees resigned after just a day on the job over decade-old social media posts that recalled antisemitic tropes.

Newly minted Director of Appointments Catherine Almonte Da Costa tendered her resignation this afternoon just hours after her past comments came to light.

“As the mother of Jewish children, I feel a profound sense of sadness and remorse at the harm these words have caused,” she said in a statement. “As this has become a distraction from the work at hand, I have offered my resignation.”

In a series of social media posts, Da Costa fired off statements that included: “Money hungry Jews smh”; “Woo! Promoted to the upstairs office today! Working alongside these rich Jewish peeps.”; and “Far Rockaway train is the Jew train,” according to the Judge Street Journal, which highlighted the posts before Da Costa deleted her X account.

Mamdani has struggled to win over Jewish communities, which — uncomfortable with his past criticism of Israel and his failure to condemn the phrase “globalize the intifada” — staunchly opposed his candidacy. The newly revealed tweets from a now-former top aide do little to help him mend those deep divisions, as evidenced by social media posts from the Anti-Defamation League, which has a contentious relationship with the incoming administration.

p.s. One of my favorite lines in all of modern media has always been: "Tweets resurfacing". (No, you just didn't bother to look the first time, then someone else found it).

Zohran Mamdani was sworn in as Mayor of New York City 3 days ago on January 1st, 2026. :)

Here is the swearing in right after Senator Bernie Sanders stops talking at 1:07:00

(Bernie has a technical glitch with a 1 second speaking delay)

One of Mayor Madani's 1st official acts was to revoke all of previous Mayor Eric Adams executive orders issued any time after he was indicted.

“We speak about this day as a new era. And in order to fulfill that hope, we have to reckon with why so many New Yorkers have turned away from politics over the last few months, the last few years, the last few decades,” Mamdani said Thursday at City Hall.

Mamdani’s executive order would rescind all directives issued by Adams after Sept. 26, 2024, the same day he was indicted by a federal grand jury on corruption charges.

“That was a date that marked a moment when many New Yorkers decided politics held nothing for them,” Mamdani said.

...
I think the Mayor has the power to appoint judges in Family Court and Criminal Court.

Lots of influence there.

Also, will he really close the Riker's Island jail complex in the future?

still watching this. his speech tried to flourish a bit, saying something akin to abandoning the cold of individualism and embracing the warmth of collectivism. he's still rhetorically strong.

for EOs, he packaged a small bundle going straight for housing immediately. dealing with slumlords and easening housing construction. the details are quite interesting

Is there any answer we could give you that you wouldn't immediately dismiss and shout down with some drivel about how he's a commie terrorist who eats babies?

well you can be honest and say repairing a bike onramp will now help New Yorkers leave his city that much more easily :D
I may be an anti-communist (more against authoritarian flavors of them), even I find this claim a bit silly. I highly doubt bike ramps on a bridge from one borough to another, counts as “leaving the city much more easily”. You’re still in New York City if you use the bridge. It’s not like Zorhan is building a dedicated bike network across the city that terminates at Penn Station and Grand Central Station.
