Zoom to messages?

O.K. I'm a newbie. When messages start popping up on my screen, can I freeze them, or recall them to make sure I didn't miss something?

The manual says to use zoom to messages, but doesn't say how?

on the upper left corner of the screen, you have a button with which you can open a status window, with the same messages. By clicking on one of these message, you will go to the relevzant place, if any.

I'm using 3.02 and can't find it. Was it added in a later version?

It exists since vanilla :x
