We will soon have squashed the Germans. And we don't want idle soldiers. And i want to propose the next job for them: The Zulus Campaign!

The Zulus are weak.
The Zulus have furs and gems luxury resources which we could use.
Having a beachhead on the Persian continent will help in our future invasion.

The following picture shows the proposed landing site (red cross). From there, we can capture New Hlobane (furs), New Swazi, and New Ngome (2 gems), if we have enough cavalry. But we may also take 2 or 3 turns.

We need at least 8 cavalry, 8 infantry, 8 artillery, some workers for railroading. More will help.

The galley in Villa Park can be upgraded to galleon. New Falcon's Heaven will build 3 galleons the next 5 turns. After the infantry, Ville de Buisson can build a galleon every 4 turns.
If we send all these galleons to Villa Park and build a harbor instead of rifle in Villa Park we can upgrade the galleons to transports in about 14 turns (research steel, refining, combustion). With 5 transports, we can ship 40 units which is plenty.:goodjob:
 
I am completely in favor of a plan to take a few Zulu cities. Having a foothold on that continent will help us greatly to airlift units to that continent, rather than having to transport them entirely by transport. Also, it would be nice to have a base of operations from which to attack Persia and the Aztecs (as well as the Zulu if they're still around) later, rather than having to stage an amphibious assault. Taking a few Zulu cities is basically risk-free and we can get peace for favorable terms for peace soon after taking those cities.

My, my. Aren't we feeling bloodthirsty today. Leave it to us to make the French a dangerous civ.
I'd have to say "What the heck. Lets go for it" BUT!
First, can we take over the mainland. Once we've painted our odd continent pink, then we can start moving. Only then.
Also, I'd like to remind our Leaders that if we're going for conquest, we'll need to slash and burn a bit on the other continent.

SAaM: Looking at the past performance, I think we will have assimilated the mainland in the 14 turns we need to get ready for the Aztec Campaign.

But ships need to be build and moved to Villa park. And the Villa Park harbor must be build. Thus we have to start preparing NOW.
 
Yes we need to consolidate our own continent, but we don't need to wait until we've done that to prepare for this. Let's get these preparations underway so that we can go as soon as we wish to, not then have to wait while we get ready.

You're right though SaaM that we will have to Slash and burn a bit - it would be annoying if we triggered a domination victory when going for the conquest! We will have to keep careful track of this.

As long as we don't take anything other than our continent, the Greco-Egyptian continent, and wonder cities, we should be fine as far as the domination limit goes.

Yes. And to get 2 more luxuries.

We also might want to keep some cities with wonders.

Wow, I wake up, and the people are screaming for more blood! :eek: :eek:

First, we need to build up our cavalry base. We have 36 cavs (all healing/stopping resistence). We lost quite a few due to a bad RNG in one city, and a German counter-attack. However, I'm pleased to announce that the counter-attack threat is virtually nullified. Germany is probably spent!
 
Looking at the research rate and using Grey Fox's Tech Calculator it looks like the best we can do is 18 turns to get Mass Production and Tanks if we go max research down that path. If we take time to research sanitation for example it will take longer. Flight will take a further 5 turns. As they're not upgradeable we need to consider these timescales when working out how many Cavalry we need, ie: enough to take us to the point when they're replaced with tanks.
 
I'd take out Greece and Egypt. Not only is Egypt close to getting Infantry, both will provide a somewhat productive base.
