The first of the Flugzeugbau Friedrichshafen Gmbh biplane bomber series. Powered by 2x165 Hp Benz Bz.III engines and with only 330 lb payload, this biplane-tailed prototype was the basis for the development of the sturdier and more powerful G.II, and the successful G.III.
