My latest leaderhead... and hopefully my last non-shadered one.
MERKURIOS
Alright, he's a bit rough here and there, but I think he'll do. As always, I strongly suggest that you use him as any other leader you see fit (Merkurios can work fine as a generic Classical era or Medieval era North or East African leader!!!). I had a bit of fun with this guy, and I hope the next LH I make will have shaders. 
Anyhow, some background on this guy: Actually, there isn't a lot, according to wikipedia. Merkurios was one of the most famous rulers of the medieval Nubian kingdom of Makuria (a stronghold of Christianity against the rising tide of Islam in Africa). He expanded Makuria's borders, and seemed to have played an important role in the Nubian Church.
