This package contains 12 Classical Age Elephants for civilizations in the ancient Mediterranean zone that I've made, collected or assembled using models and textures released by firaxis or other forum modders. By reading this THREAD you'll understand the purpose of this collection, and you'll find additional in-game screenshots also.
Because of elephants are unlikely units in TAM mod, I've assembled them by ethnic groups instead of by civs as usual: european, greek-roman, mid-east, african and, specifically, carthaginian with Hannibal hero. I made 6 models working with vanilla elephant animations and additional 6 models working with carthage elephant animations.
As result you have 12 units to choice, although I dislike the carthage ones because of their unrealistic long spear. A good idea could be to set a mix of both models in a group of three units: a chief with the spear and the other two without spear.
Working on these models, I did attention to realistic details, removing iron spikes from legs, unlikely elephant teeth, and giving solid anchorage to every carriage.
These units are 100% playable with nifscope, have both shader and no-shader nif and the lesser number as possible of art files, in order to reduce memory usage. The package contains 2 animation folders for convenience, but you may use the vanilla warelephant and carthage warelephant animations as well.
All units equipped with a long spear use carthage warelephant anims; all units without a long spear use vanilla warelephant anims.
