Even though the Ottomans gained nominal control over Egypt in 1517, the Mamluks were still an important force in Egyptian politics as they had been allowed to retain their position as a ruling class. After numerous attempts to gain independence from the Ottomans, the Ottomans finally dealt with the Mamluk problem during a event which would become known as the Massacre of the Citadel in 1811 which would spearhead a week long massacre of Mamluks and their relatives throughout Egypt.
This unit pack represents Egyptian Mamluk forces between 1750 and 1811.
Here is the unit list,
Mamluk Cavalry
Mamluk Sword Cavalry
Mamluk Rifleman (Cairo Janissary)
Mamluk Rifleman (Maghribi Levy)
Mamluk Grenadier
Mamluk Cannon
The Cavalry and Sword variants come with three fun flavors apiece, so your Mamluks can be as lively and colorful as they are deadly.
Egyptian Rifleman
Egyptian Rifleman (Sudanese)
These two units are from a later period, representing the Egyptian Soldiers during the Anglo-Egyptian War of 1882. But they are included for convince's sake.
Animation directions are in the zip.
