Trafalgar Square
Located in the heart of London's City of Westminster, Trafalgar Square is a royally-owned public space. Constructed under orders from King George IV from 1820 to 1845, Trafalgar Square was built upon an earlier public space known as Charing Cross; the modern name commemorates a naval battle between England and Napoleonic France earlier in the century.
