Updated to version 2.1
Please redownload if you still have the 2.0 version.
from the readme:
This is the final version of darkciv 2. There are now way too many changes to list them all. Darkciv 2 takes civ to a new, darker level. The most important new feature are Regimes. A regime is a combination of (mostly 2) civics with a particular civic opression value. Regimes give special bonuses that are described in the civilopedia under "New concepts". For most of the building and unit changes you should also consult the civilopedia. Note that not all units and buildings have a proper historic background entry. Also important is that cities may now revolt or even start a civil war if unhappiness becomes too high.
The AI should now be less hindered by their own oppression level than was the case in the darkciv 2 beta version. Also, oppressive buildings no longer give diplomatic penalties, they just stop working in a free civilization. You will notice that I incorporated some things form previous civ games. I always thought civ-2 was much darker than newer games.
Be aware that opressive AI opponents now act much more aggressive and that barbarian activity is much more dangerous than in the original game.
