Behold.... the return of Ultima! Set in the beautiful map of Brittannia specially created tediously from the Worldbuilder, hex by hex, we have now a map worth spilling blood over for!
The magnificent realm of the beloved ruler, Lord British has broken up to nine states and now you playing as the saviour and Avatar is entrust to do the usual job of saving Britannia from the forces of the dark. Victory by domination within 360 turns is the goal.
Requires only original Civ 5 (tested on 1.1.0.674) that comes with in-game Mongol DLC.
Game created to play as Lord British of the Bards, but all 8 other civs playable, Paladin, Tinkers, Rangers, Druids, Fighters, Mages, Shepherds and the Pirates.
Features:-
- Redefinition of many items from resources to terrain to building/wonder to reflect the Ultima universe! Everything from Mandrake to Temple of Codex!
- Tech slowed to maintain medieval Britannia flavour
- Unbuildable Heroes units
- Challenging setup, perfect for higher difficulty settings
- All game changes and information accessible via Civilopedia for ease of reference
After 3 months building and testing it, I think it is time to share, especially to all Ultima-enthusiast out there.
Zip file consist map file. mod files and a readme txt file.
Unzip "Ultima X - Battle for Britannia (v 1)" folder to Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS and the scenario map file UltimaX_CivV should go to Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\Maps directory.
Most of Readme file content accessible from Civilopedia.
To play, select MODS (Accept) --> Select Ultima X - Battle for Brittannia, Click Next--> Choose Single Player--> Setup Game--> Advance Setup-->At Map TYpe dropdown option, choose Ultima X map--> Back--> Click Load Scenario. Choose the Civ (if you wish to change) & difficulty and Start!
