On mod structure:
Lightweight patch, I don't mess with lua functions in any way, I only changed some database values (they are changed in the specific database for the games created with this mod) through the xml format.
This mean this patch has maximum compatibility with any other patch that don't mess with social policies.
On the changes:
This mod buffs slightly the Honor branch, tweak the tradition branch, and slightly lower the rationalism branch, In a search of policy balance.
The changes are:
Tradition: Border expanion bonus moved to a policy deeper in the tree (landed elite)
Rationalism: Lowered the bonus from universities from "Free Thought" from 17% to 7%.
Honor: Opener gives culture from every unit, not only barbs, but in half quantity. Warrior code adds +10% production for military units (instead of 15% melee) and +1 production in capital. Military tradition also gives 2 free-maintenance units. Military caste changed: now gives +2 culture from walls and +1 happiness from stable and forge. Honor closer also give 50% boost when building training facilities (barracks, krepost, armory, military academy).
Notes:
Due to not touching any lua code, walls will not show the +2 Culture on the tooltip once the user gets Military caste, but it will add and substract to the city culture properly. Same happens with the +1 production on the capital.
