Mahan Class Destroyer 2016-10-05

The Mahan-class destroyers originally included 16 ships: the United States Navy commissioned 15 of them in 1936 and one in 1937. Soon afterward, two more ships, often referred to as the Dunlap class, were approved in the basic Mahan design; both were commissioned in 1937. The class was clearly unique, because it introduced a new propulsion system that changed the technology for future wartime destroyers. It also incorporated a number of other major betterments, including the mounting of twelve torpedo tubes and new generators for emergency use. USS Mahan (DD-364) was the lead ship of the Mahan-class destroyer and named for Rear-Admiral Alfred T. Mahan, an influential historian and theorist on sea power. All eighteen ships of the class saw action in World War II, entirely in the Pacific Theater of Operations. They were involved in a host of major and secondary campaigns, whether it was the bombardment of beachheads; amphibious landings; task force screening; convoy and patrol duty; anti-aircraft or submarine warfare. Collectively, the class received 111 battle stars for World War II service. Six ships were combat losses and two were expended in post-war tests. The remainder were decommissioned, sold, or scrapped soon after the war.

The file contains all the sounds and pcx files. Model is not my own creation because AOTD_MadMax (From Subsim) created it. Wyrmshadow provided the animation files and Ares de Borg did the sounds. I merely put the pieces together and cleaned up the model for CivIII and added some what if pieces. A big thanks to everyone that helped out!
