BTS Screenshots Repository

I like the idea that you can have multiple corporations per city, but not if they compete with each other... it makes it more interesting than allowing all corporations in any city or restricting them to one corp per city.

So much for simulating Wilmington, Delaware (or the cayman islands)

I'm looking forward to the corporations. Do you think more than 7 corporation in a game would be too unbalancing?

And when do we get a screenshot of the corporations screen? :deal:

this is essentially how it is though.

you can have 1 of 3 for food/ethenol or you can have 3 or 1 for mineral output.

Thanks for the post, Watiggi. I really enjoyed reading up about the corporations (perhaps the most confusing aspect pre-release). I like how they clearly describe which corporation competes with who in terms of resource consumption. Still don't see the need for the food/ethanol corps in my usual game, but I can see Creative Construction and the Jeweler corp game regularly (love those extra production/culture points).

Interesting to see that Environmentalism increases corp. costs by 25%-- I guess the guys at Firaxis really want to make those eco-friendly players cringe at the thought of switching to Env. Glad FM got a cost reduction for corp.-- I was worried that I would have to become a mercantilist in order to make corps worth my while. Not anymore.

You can't see the benefit of extra food in every city? Who doesn't want to run another couple specialists with their extra food resources?

the rate at which the health resources are converted into food makes it 4:1 and 4:2 for the respective corps. You better have a bunch of those to make it worthwile...

i think one of the most exciting parts of corporations is resource trading. trading oil for coal so you can turn it into aluminum so that creative can give you hammer bonuses is just one of the many ideas.

Yay! We're already having slapping fights over which untested strategy is clearly superior! :goodjob:

Not really--I'm just surprised somebody posted "I don't see the benefit of having extra food" or something along those lines. I can't wait to test the new strategies.

Cool. I definitely see the benefit of having extra food....but I also know that the first things I'm going to aim for are FM with corporations.

So let me get this straight, what the "All Cities" means when refering to Corporation benefits.

Is it 1)
You have an empire with 8 Sid's sushi resources and each and every city gets an extra 4 food

or 2)
Each city with a Sushi resource in its bfc gets the 0.5food/resourceinbfc benefit

Thanks in advance (i know it'll take alot of playing to get to that stage)

Not everybody follows the SE strategy, Antilogic. There is more than one way to play this game.

How about screenie or info on the Customs House.
I have been curious about improved prospects of a Trade Route economy in BTS - or a Trade/Corp economy.

One question: the info center says that there are 8 new wonders... but only 7 has been showed so far. Is there an extra one? Also, which technology do you need to have acess to the Moai statues? (one of the best wonder addition ever).

Thanks xfactor!!

So with the normal +100% intercontinental, this would make it +150%, or +200% with Harbor. And a max of 5 trade routes (3+ Airport + Free Market).

Am I forgetting something? Is there another potential trade route (not including castle)??
