Can Civ VI get any close to Civ IV? Civ V definitely could not: Sullla's ultimate Civ V review and Jon Shafer about his design mistakes.
Also doubtful for VI with some of its terrible design decisions... 1UPT and "unstacking of cities" in a Civilization game absolutely ruins both scale and the AI.
