This is disappointing. I was hoping there was some actual use of action in the game.
Civ4 wears thin after awhile because you have to premeditate everything, especially war.
It would be nice if there was some tactical aspect, instead of a million little strategic steps that cannot be...
It has its uses, but the penalty is significant enough to not be an exploit.
As for morality, consider the morality of the things we do today. Attacking ideology in one corner and ignoring atrocity in another is hardly moral.
I usually do Oxford+Shakespear in the capital. Oxford for sci, Shakespear to max out the pop and keep war-weariness at bay.
Colossus + Moai Statues for a great coastal city, and you can start statues very early.
FP of course when you have a good spot.
HE and WP are next on the list...
If you play as a charasmatic leader you get 2x the XP from playing! :p
Seriously, you get out of it what you put into it. Play at the level where you have a challenge but still fun.
I want to relax and enjoy playing, so I tend to quit the games that are inevitable domination wins but...
Of course you can pile more EP points towards the offenders.
Good to know about the Security Bureau and spy BFC's.
The point of border tiles is enemies usually come that way.
Why are spy nationalities sometimes revealed and sometimes not?
Don't forget they can be bribed. You prolly had an enemy who found it cheaper to bribe than attack. Look at the people friendly with your old 'friend'.
That would be a large fortune. Try a bunch of 9's

There are several ways to change the view - remove interfaces, show yields, show resources, etc.
Get the reference and look at the keyboard shortcuts.
Ctrl+B = Bare Map
Ctrl+R = Resoures
Ctrl+Y = Yields
Ctrl+T = Grid
Ctrl+I = Minimize Interface
Alt+I = No Interface
Sounds like a bug - sucess event triggered fail response.
It would be nice for the quest reward to be spelled out at the beginning. Building libs or forges is not a huge waste, but a ton of harbors and caravels for a +1 movement is not worth the effort on pangea.
You can always go look and see - fast units or spys if not open borders. If you can already see the cities then try F5.
It's a good idea to keep an eye on the F9 power graph. Visitors bearing gifts will come to your door if you get too weak.
What exactly is a slave revolt? City unproductive for X turns?
Nobody has mentioned the anarchy to switch in/out of slavery. This has got to eliminate some of the advantage for non-religious civs. I seldom switch to slavery unless religious, and I see another civ has the extended slave...
Loosing polytheism can happen, but why not go for meditation if you have mysticism?
I don't think the original post was about BtS events, but some of the stories are funny enough. Especially the determined AI settler.
The building destroys are bad, and the barb SoD is annoying. The...
