    Questions about The BUG Mod

It's been about 10 years since I really looked at the Mod, but I'll do my best from memory. The folder named Assets is named Custom Assets if you are running the game not as a Mod, but as the normal game. So if running from the Mod directory, the folder structure should be Bug Mod/Assets...

[vanilla] Resource Exploit for Cities - Any Fix for Stupid AI?

So I was playing a game of Civ 5, and had two resources with only 1 available. I was able to offer so much to a rival civ that they would be willing to trade me ALL of their cities (I got England down to just their Capital City), for these resources. The same turn I would build a fort on one...

    Bug/Bat under linux with wine

I was running BUG under Linux the whole time we were building it. It should work flawlessly on any Ubuntu distro for certain.

Requests for new components (and features)

Stopping worker actions one step before completion is already in the mod iirc. I know it is for forest and jungle chops.

Greetings. So I've been away for a while. What's new in the BUG World? Who's moderating it now?

    Linux and Civ V

wow this went way off the original topic... I'm assuming everyone is able to make the game work with Wine by now, but has anyone found a workaround for the Mod issue?

    BAT Errata

Alt + J is still in there?!? That is a Legacy from BUG beta... I remember when me, EF, and Ruff were talking about changing the option button, and Ruff wanted Alt + J because he was used to it from Jray's Mod, so we decided to keep both Alt + J plus A+C+O. Very cool it's still in there.:)

    Linux and Civ V

Sure there is. There is Mono which is a Linux Native version of the .NET framework, but it doesn't work very well. You can also run .NET 1 & 2 using Wine. Wouldn't be able to play hardly any game without that. @Sun Tzu Wu - I am able to get the game running in Wine, so no need to get...

    Linux and Civ V

Okay, I've gotten Civ5 to work with Steam on my Ubuntu 10.04 install, but for the life of me can't get .NET 4.0 installed with Wine to allow the Modding Tools to work. Has anyone gotten it to work yet?

    Civ5 SDK Available on Steam

I knew about Crossover for Ubuntu, just don't know much about Macs. And Wine does support Quicken now, at least up until 2009, the last one I installed, so it's all good for me.:) That was a big challenge for me to switch over to Linux... Anyway, enough thread stealing.

    Civ5 SDK Available on Steam

I could probably get Visual Studio 2010 installed, but I don't want all of that if I can get the Stand-Alone working. And I hate VMs,and much prefer how Wine works... normally.:p I *CAN* get older versions of Visual Studio to work in Wine, but haven't tried 2010 yet... BTW - Is there a Wine...

    Modbuddy and Linux (Ubuntu 10.04)

@Croxis: Checked the WineHQ AppDB, but no luck. I don't think it's a very common program that's needed. I was hoping someone had figured out how to get it working. AlanH was able to get it working, but that's through a Mac Virtual Machine. I don't think there is a Wine for Mac though. I...

    Modbuddy and Linux (Ubuntu 10.04)

Hey everyone, To Install ModBuddy on Ubuntu, you must install VSIsoShell.exe. When you try to run the program, it will hang when trying to install $shtdwn$.req. This file shouldn't be used on Linux Machines. To install VSIsoShell.exe: Go to your Terminal Navigate to the location...

    Civ5 SDK Available on Steam

AlanH, were you able to get this going only in a VM machine? I'm trying to get it working with ubuntu, and am having trouble getting the Visual Studio installed. Was wondering how you handled it on a Mac.
