Once they clear the channel they can start a ferry.

7 New Civs You'd Like to See in Civ7

My dream is the ability to create your own civ from scratch. Technically you could in II by editing the mk.dll and text files, but it would be awesome to have in-game tools to do it.

Cargo ship destroys interstate bridge in Baltimore

Dunno. River barges can do a lot of damage. See the Bright Field incident in 1996. Destroyed the Riverwalk mall.

Cargo ship destroys interstate bridge in Baltimore

Local news said the Mississippi River bridges have bumpers. Not sure if those were ever needed. You presumably wouldn't hear about it if a ship with a dead engine got deflected.

MoraI foundations test, by Johnathan Haidt

I think people are reading vaccine in the context of COVID, as that's currently the most prominent one, but the question is intended to be broader. You have the dullards who think the MMR vaccine causes autism. The MMR vaccine has a long track record of being safe and effective, and those...

    Newsworthy Science

If the parent says "this worked last time" and there's no contraindication it makes sense to prescribe what's requested. Otherwise the providers should be encouraged to recommend ORS, if that's what works the most often and has the lowest risk.

    Rich Dad Poor Dad: Problems

The idea is more like "you don't have to move here. Just come for three months". More likely to get takers that way, which is why it exists.

"Risky" Opening Strategy - Settlers before Defense

I do the same thing. If I run into Barbs or an unappeasable AI civ, I didn't invest much time in that game before I have to give up on it.

    Rich Dad Poor Dad: Problems

The US has travel nursing programs. Basically you go somewhere for a few months and then move to the next stop and eventually back home. Not a complete solution, especially since we have a nationwide shortage of nurses, but it alleviates the problem for remote areas.

Harder to do because of neighborhood activists. The guy I linked originally tried Austin proper and was run off.

    Housing, Homelessness and Poverty

Will get even harder as the metro area grows. That will raise the price of land and make it even more expensive, as well as ramp up harassment from people who moved to the nuisance. You also have nefarious actors like Blackrock buying up as much housing as possible and Bill Gates hoarding...

    Housing, Homelessness and Poverty

There's a guy in Texas who has a good system: https://www.texasstandard.org/stories/community-first-tiny-homes-austin-texas-homeless-village/ It helps that land isn't scarce in unincorporated Travis County. That can't be replicated everywhere though.
