Which tile improvements do you guys go with for Paris? If you cottage everything Paris will have horrible production. I tried lumbermills on all the forest and cottage on open tiles, seemed like a decent compromise
Japan (on Monarch difficulty) took me so many attempts over the years but I finally managed it. I could never make the Republic strat work, instead Despotism was what worked for me.
As an addendum to the above, the advanced start screen only being triggered after you've settled your first city would be neat. With some civs you'd rather settle somewhere else first
In the Vox Populi mod for Civ 5 if you control more than 50% of a resource you gain a monopoly bonus respective to the resource. That could be an interesting addition for DoC down the line
Civ 4 had the option to upgrade all units of a kind, such as all Crossbowmen. By shift- or alt-clicking on upgrade I think. Is that feasible to implement?
