IMO it's an improvement. It makes terrain actually matter. Also building scouts has it's benefits, especially if you play on a 3 billion year old world which has more mountains and hills.
So today I reloaded a save, where I have several cities in the process of being razed and I was a bit surprised to see my hapiness level at -35 when I cleared remembered it was in the green when I saved.
Turns out that I had to stop and then restart razing the cities again so that they don't...
I don't really mind they way it is now but I think it would be a little better if embarkation required a single turn before the unit could go into the water, kinda like setting up siege units before firing (only you wouldn't be able to go in the same turn even if you had movement points left)...
Hopefully they'll update the AI to be capable of handling nukes at some point. It would be great if they could build them and place them strategically to act as a deterrent (just like in real life). Though I wouldn't want the AI to use them without any consideration but only if you use nukes...
I have the same problem with one of my games. Standard earth map, epic speed on emperor crashes every time on the transition from turn 374 to 375 when the AI's turn is about to end. I've tried going several turns back and trying different things but nothing changes it. Here's the save if anyone...

First of all, in the greek language, just like in many other languages, there are diphthongs. One example of such diphthong is -ai which is pronounced as -e. In the game you can clearly hear...
I'm sorry but the accent they used is not at all accurate for any time period in Greek history. The actual spelling, as far as I can tell, is correct but the accent is totally off. So unless they wanted to depict a leader who has no idea what his own language sounds like, they got it all wrong.
Actually he does sound weird. The accent they used is soo wrong it's not even funny. I would call it woefully inadequate, if not totally ridiculous.
I tend to agree with the OP. He does remind me of Italian Americans in some movies...
You should be thankful he doesn't speak greek! Civ5 has the worst greek accent i have ever heard! Actually, I don't think it even qualifies as greek. It sounds like the very first attempt of someone, who has never heard a single word in greek, reading a google translated text...:crazyeye:
I...
